Volunteer for the Festival
Lend a hand, have fun, make friends.
The 2026 Earth Day Festival in Brunswick will bring people together for a day of fun, learning, and environmental action — and we need volunteers who want to help!

Whether you want to volunteer from home before the Festival, help set up the day before, or be part of the fun on April 25, we have a team for you.
Festival Outreach Team
This one is easy — just invite people to come and enjoy the Festival! We're especially looking for volunteers who like social media, but we have lots of other ways to spread the word, too.
All Species Parade Team
If you like dressing up and theater, join this team! Arrive in costume at 10:15 on Saturday, April 25. If you have a drum, get in front and lead our parade. If you're crafty, organize "make your own costume" parties to help people make creature costumes to wear.
Setup and Takedown
If you like lifting heavy things, this is the team for you! Help out Friday evening, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, before and after the Festival to set up tables and help vendors and participating organizations move their exhibits in and out.
Greeters and Information
Welcome Festival goers and help them find their favorite activities. We'll have a lot going on — information tables and activities in the gym, talks and presentations in the cafeteria, and the parade, fun, games, music, dancing, and more going on outside. If you like talking to people and being helpful, join this team!
Activity Assistants
Help with workshops, demonstrations, and activities at the Festival.
Music, Dancing, and Games
Join this team to entertain people outdoors on Saturday, April 25! Inside the school is for tabling and talks, but outside is for music and dancing and fun and games. We'll provide a tent for musicians. Dancers will have to brave the elements!
Photography Team
Capture photos of the Festival and share them with us. Perfect if you have photography skills — or want to develop them.
Coastal Cleanup Leaders
Mere Point Oyster Co. is partnering with the Festival for the 5th Annual Coastal Cleanup. This large-scale Earth Day activity brings together 600+ volunteers to help protect and restore Maine's coastline — and we need strong leadership. Interested in serving as a Volunteer Team Leader?
