Festival in Brunswick to celebrate Earth brought together people from midcoast Maine.

The free Festival included a dress-up All Species Parade, interactive exhibits from dozens of local businesses and organizations, food trucks, and fun activities for the whole family.

BRUNSWICK, ME – On Saturday, April 25, from 10 am to 3 pm at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School, rain or shine, Sustainable Practice presented the 2026 Earth Day Festival in Brunswick, bringing people together from Arrowsic, Bath, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Brunswick, Durham, Freeport, Georgetown, Harpswell, Lisbon, Phippsburg, Pownal, Topsham, West Bath, and Woolwich for a day of fun, learning, and environmental action. This free event to celebrate Earth was made possible by Androscoggin Bank and other generous sponsors.

The day included a dress-up All Species Parade led by a marching band at 10:30, bringing back a Brunswick tradition, and a wheelbarrow race at 2:30, testing the skill and agility of contestants pushing loaded wheelbarrows through an obstacle course. Other highlights included show and tell displays of electric vehicles and bicycles, solar exhibits showing how sunshine can be turned into electricity, tours of the school garden and greenhouse, talks in the cafeteria, and dozens of interactive exhibits in the gym and playground.

This press advisory was followed by pre-Festival press outreach in April 2026.
