Earth Day Collage

Jennifer J. Merz

Phippsburg, Maine

Merz's winning artwork features a textured, cut-paper collage of the Earth ringed by a diverse community of people, trees, animals, and cityscapes. The design conveys a strong message of unity and coexistence. It will now serve as the signature symbol of the Festival, featured on promotional materials and seen by hundreds of attendees at the April event.

"We were overwhelmed by the creativity in this year's submissions. But Jenn's collage stood out immediately. It captures the spirit of our theme perfectly — showing how our built environment, our neighbors, and the natural world all revolve around protecting our shared home."
