Resource Guide Guide About our Guide

Make Earth Day every day.

People of midcoast Maine come together for one day at the Earth Day Festival in Brunswick to celebrate and connect. This guide keeps that spirit going all year long.

We’ve gathered what our communities already know about living well on Earth: the businesses, organizations, farms, trails, and programs of 15 local governments—all smartly organized so you can actually use the wisdom that has been ferreted out from hundreds of websites and local experts. Here it is in one place, made easy to filter and sort by what you need and where you live.

This is a guide for discovery, not just a directory: you’ll find resources and events that you never knew were here and happening.

What we’re inviting you to do

Browse by topic, set your town when you want listings close to home, or search when you already have a name in mind. Food, mobility, energy, waste, nature, community, government, and shopping are all here — plus an events calendar and 20 Earth Care practices that link back to the local people and programs who can help. Start anywhere; follow what catches your eye.

We’re serving everyone in Arrowsic, Bath, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Brunswick, Durham, Freeport, Georgetown, Harpswell, Lisbon, Phippsburg, Pownal, Topsham, West Bath, and Woolwich, whether permanent residents or just passing through for the first time.
