Earth Day in Brunswick will bring people together for a day that is welcoming, educational, and fun. It makes space for families, students, nonprofits, businesses, and local agencies to celebrate Earth Day by learning, participating, and meeting neighbors who care about our planet.
The Festival is designed to be approachable, upbeat, and intergenerational, with something to do whether you come for 20 minutes or stay all day.
Expect hands-on activities, talks, music, art, costumes, food, and practical ideas you can carry into everyday life all year long.
Business sponsors and individual supporters keep admission free for the public and for participating nonprofit and governmental organizations.
The Festival is presented by Sustainable Practice with a model built to reward the organizations that bring energy, learning, and fun to the day.
Business sponsors and individual supporters make the event possible and free to attend.
Visitors can explore exhibits, activities, talks, music, food, and special happenings—all free.
Nonprofit and governmental organizations provide activities, exhibits, and educational experiences that make the Festival memorable.
If Festival revenues exceed expenses, 99% of the profits are shared among qualifying participating organizations that provide fun activities and help promote the event.
More details about participating organizations and profit sharing are available on the Participate page.
The Festival combines celebration, local knowledge, and hands-on experiences. It uses both indoor and outdoor spaces at the school, so visitors can explore a mix of exhibits, presentations, and active fun.
Highlights include the All Species Parade, art and costume fun, hands-on exhibits, and plenty of chances for kids and adults to join in together.
Visitors can learn from organizations, businesses, and presenters working on sustainability, transportation, food systems, energy, habitat conservation, and more.
Expect activity stations such as bike tune ups, wheelbarrow races, garden fun, and other outdoor happenings around the school grounds.
Food vendors, live entertainment, and a welcoming community atmosphere help make the Festival a celebration, not just an information fair.
